Development 1
Development 1 is a bridge between group swim lessons and swim team. It prepares swimmers for swim team and teaches proper technique for each of the 4 competitive strokes, as well as dives and turns.
Practice Times:
Monday – Friday, 5:30-6:15
Development 1 swimmers are encouraged to practice 3 times a week.
Development 2
This is the continuation of your child’s journey in the sport of swimming! Swimmers in this group can do all 4 competitive strokes, and are refining them through drill progressions. They are also introduced to the basics of interval training and swimming vocabulary. Swim meets are encouraged.
Practice Times:
Monday- Friday, 5:30-6:30
Swimmers are encouraged to practice 3-4 times a week.
Junior Team
The Junior Team encompasses the range of athletes who can do the 4 competitive strokes properly for 50 yards to up those who can complete a 200 IM without disqualifications. Most Junior Team swimmers are in middle school. The focus of the group is learning intermediate drills, refining technique, building endurance, and practicing race strategy. Swim meets are encouraged.
Practice times:
Monday – Friday, 5:30-7:00
Swimmers are encouraged to practice 4 times a week.
Senior Team
Senior Team members can complete a 200IM with legal strokes and turns, and have A or B times in most events. Most Senior Team members are in high school. They have chosen to prioritize swimming and are committed to their training. The focus of this group is fine-tuning stroke, start, and turn technique while continuing to build endurance, strength, and understanding of race strategy. Swim meets are strongly encouraged!
Practice Times:
Monday-Friday, 5:30 – 7:00pm
Swimmers are encouraged to practice 4-5 times a week.
